I decided to stay a little longer in Fiji than originally expected... lol. I spent most of my time in a coffee shop though surfing the internet on where to go next. While sitting in the coffee shop, a mother was doing some type of homework in a corner and had a younger child with her. To keep the kid occupied, the mother had a portable dvd player with Madagascar in it. Reminding me of my safari that I wanted to go on, I looked up Madagascar.
There wasn't much to do, but I decided to book a flight anyways! Imagine the Madagascar gang's surpirse when I decided to show up...
.... ;]
I decided to take a small day to two day trip there, then actually head up to Africa and see a large safari.
Flight costs to Antananarivo, Madagascar was surprisingly expensive and outrageously long, and I'm assuming so because the airport might be really small... Hmmm.... I wonder which way was taken to get to Australia from Chicago.
I am debating on taking a smaller trip (length wise) for a larger amount of money, or taking a longer trip (about 2 days worth of being on a plane) for a lot cheaper....
I am looking at a 28 hour and 55 minute plane ride for $8,557.70... or a 47 hour and 55 minute flight for $2,623.00. Is comfort worth the $6000? I know I can sleep on planes pretty easily.
GASP! I just found a flight that beats both! : ) A 27 hour and 20 minute flight for $2,396! Whew! (wipes brow)
